Intentional Communities Intentional Communities are those human settlements organized around a concept held in common among the residents. The two most common ideas are for people to live in peace and to live in an ecological sane way, more often both. Many of these communities are organized to live lightly on the Earth and involve ways to cultivate food, generate energy and make habitations with that goal in mind. These three are often intertwined in systems that waste not and damage nature the least.
